About Rotaract

Started in 1968 by Rotary International, Rotaract is an international network of 200,000 students and young professionals in 8,000 clubs that span 163 countries worldwide. We are motivated, energised young people who use our skills to make tangible differences for those in need while advancing our careers and networking with other like-minded young leaders.

Rotaract clubs plan and implement humanitarian projects and community initiatives both within Australia and around the world. Each club is autonomous, so projects are focused on issues that members are passionate about. With Rotaract, you make a positive impact on the lives of people in need.

Members work together to create and organise what we do in our community. We aim to make involvement 100% flexible, meaning members can fit their participation around their busy schedules and they only need to work on projects that interest them. That might mean brainstorming ideas over breakfast, choosing projects that are hands-on rather than just money-raising, and planning details over a drink and a meal at a pub!

What you put into our club will determine what you will get out of it. Events and activities are an opt-in basis. That means that you choose the level of commitment and activity that you have with Rotaract.

Rotaract connects you to a network of business, professional, and community leaders and gives you the opportunity to volunteer with other inspiring young people who are making a difference in the world. These opportunities provide you will the skills and experiences to become the business and professional leaders of tomorrow.

Rotaract clubs meet regularly to plan projects and events and also undertake professional development activities. Clubs are for students and young professionals aged 18 to 30.
